So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library. (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle.
3. Press play.
4. For every question, type the song that's playing.
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button.
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool.
7. When you're finished, tag some other people to do it!"
Will do...here's mine:
Opening Credits -- "Emily" by From First to Last
Okay...it is rather uncanny that I ended up a song about my actual name, so that works out really well, actually. Otherwise, though....it's not quite as peppy as I would have liked. I'm not much for lovey-dovey songs. XD
Waking Up -- "Portions for Foxes" by Rilo Kiley
"And it's bad news, baby I'm bad news..." Oh yeah. This one works. Nice and peppy and upbeat and I can see myself driving to it. XD
First Day at School -- "Gone" by Kelly Clarkson
If we're talking about college, this could work. Going back to school after leaving my ex-fiancé was a life-changing experience, and I'd finally started to realize my actual potential as a woman rather than as a future missus.
Falling in Love -- "Tie the Rope" by The Format
...okay, so it's a rather pessimistic view if applying the song to love, but I suppose it works. XD
Fight Song -- "Walking With a Ghost" by Tegan and Sara
...what a crappy fighting song. *cracks up*
Breaking Up -- "I Want to Know What Love Is" by Foreigner
Sooooo cheesy.....yet quite perfect. ^_^
Prom -- "What a Girl Wants" by Christina Aguilera
Okay, had I gone to prom with a guy that loved me, it would have worked. But I went with Doucheface. Next.
Life -- "Up" by Shania Twain
This one is a good one. All about things being shitty but staying positive because it's the only thing you can do sometimes. Sums me up pretty well. XD
Sex -- "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol
At first I was like "Huhwhat?" when this popped up for this category, but then I started thinking it's a nice little laying-in-the-afterglow tune. ^_^
Mental Breakdown -- "Dance, Dance" by Fall Out Boy
Another one I was unsure of, until I really listened. It's all about miscommunication and wanting/desiring something you can't quite have, and has this frantic overtone to it that makes it work quite well in this situation.
Driving -- "Woe" by Say Anything
Well, considering how often I've belted out this song whilst driving, I'd say it works.
Flashback -- "Dear Old Shiz" from the Wicked soundtrack
A flashback song for a flashback. Novel. If irrelevant to my life in general.
Getting Back Together -- "In My Car (I'll Be the Driver)" by Shania Twain
Ugh. It's all about letting him do what he wants to me, even if I don't like it, but HEY, IF WE'RE IN MY CAR I'M THE BOSS. Like it matters, because you're letting him walk all over you in every other aspect.
...far too close to home, really.
Wedding -- "I'm Not That Girl" from the Wicked Soundtrack
OMG...the thought of this actually makes my heart break, because this is how I felt about myself ever getting married for a very long time...
Birth of Child -- "That's When I'll Stop Loving You" by *N Sync
Okay, so it's about lovers, but think about it as a mother's love for her child, and it works as well. Unconditional, eternal love. <3
Final Battle -- "So What?" by Pink
BUAHAHAHAAAA......too perfect.
Death Scene -- "Listen to the Rain" by Evanescence
This is a really beautiful, haunting song...really quite perfect.
Funeral -- "Ever So Sweet" by Early November
....okay, I love the song, but not quite fitting....
End Credits -- "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" by the Backstreet Boys
HAHAHAHAAAA. Epic. Completely irrelevant and self-pleasing silliness. Perfect.
